Not to be missed! Drimbawn House with unique gardens set on the shores of Lough Mask Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo is open to the public on Saturday 13th July & Sunday 14th July 1pm to 5pm The garden was originally designed by Ninian Niven for Catherine Plunkett and still has trees and some structures left as a reminder of the Victorian era. In 1997 Doris and Ronnie Wilson bought the estate and started to develop the grounds under the consultation of Daphne Levinge Shackleton and also, more recently, landscape architect Bernard Seymour. Some areas such as the flower garden, vegetable garden, orchard, rhododendron bank and some woodland gardens are finished. Others are still a work in progress. Charity donation upon entry.
