Bereavement
The death has taken place in Dublin, of Mrs. Bridgie Gaughan, formerly Bridgie Heneghan, daughter of the late Paddy and Maggie Heneghan, Gortnaldirg, Tourmakeady. She was sister of Pat Heneghan, Gortnaldirg, Mary Gaughan, Eileen Gavin and Walter Heneghan, all Galway. She is also survived by her husband Mick, two sons and aunt Nora Hennelly, Tooreen, Partry. May her soul rest in peace.

Death
The sudden and unexpected death took place of Mrs. Mary Dolan, Upper Churchfield, Tourmakeady. In her early 80s, Mary was called to her eternal reward surrounded by family and friends, on Sunday, September 16.

Two days earlier Mary attended and enjoyed the wedding of her eldest grandson Adrian and Amanda, a day she always wished for. Mary was a hard working woman who raised eight children in a very close-knit family. She loved to see them come and go from Chicago and throughout Ireland. Mary loved her home and had all the comfort and care possible from her daughter Trish and son-in-law Brian and their daughter Lisa.

Music, song and dance were favourite pastimes of Mary and she visited ‘Teach Mhaire’ occasionally. Mary was a woman of great faith, which was a great source of comfort to her when she was predeceased by her husband Paddy and son Ollie.

She was a pleasant and kind lady and huge crowds assembled to bid farewell to a great neighbour and friend as her remains were removed to St. Mary’s Church, Tourmakeady. Burial took place in Churchfield Cemetery. Following requiem Mass celebrated by Fr. John Kenny P.P., readings were given by grandsons Mark Durcan and John Newall. Music and song were given beautifully by the Durcan family.  A moving and emotional reflection was given by Lisa Gibbons, granddaughter and Bernie Heveran, daughter.

Mary is survived by daughters Trish, Mary Ann, Bridie and Bernie, sons Paddy, Tom and Joe, 17 grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sister-in-law and extended family members, cousins and neighbours. May her soul rest in peace.
