We would also sincerely like to thank all those who worked behind the scenes the volunteers and the community employment schemes. Their support enabled us to make this a very memorable and successful event . Even the weather didn't let us down! TOURMAKEADY GAA Club are holding a summer camp for boys and girls during the week July 1 to 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 pm The cost is €40 for one child and €30 for each additional child from the same family. The camp will be staged on the grounds of Pairc Naomh Muire.

The death took place suddenly in Chicago of Kevin Dermody, son of Christy, formerly of Gortnacullin, Srah. Burial took place in Chicago. Kevin was nephew of Katie Clarke, Tourmakeady, Bernie and Frank Dermody, Srah, and John, Castlebar. May he rest in peace.

Last week it was three-in-a-row for Partry Athletic soccer team when they defeated Killala 1-0, Bangor United 6-2 and table-toppers Swinford 3-1. These nine points have moved Partry into the upper half of the Mayo League table.

Jumble sale and metal collection
Colaiste Muire Tuar Mhic Eadaigh are organising a jumble sale and a metal collection on June 29 in the college from 12 to 4 p.m. The organisers are looking for any unwanted gifts, clothes, school uniforms, school books, books, CDs, DVDs, computer, Nintendo or Xbox games, toys, etcetera. Any of those items greatly appreciated.

The death has taken place in Chicago, USA, of Martin Behan, husband of the late Sarah Thornton, Carheen, Tourmakeady.
Wedding
The wedding took place in St. Mary’s Church, Tourmakeady, of Miss Noreen McGeough, daughter of Martin and Betty, Gortnacullin, Srah, and Mr. Noel Gibbons, son of Michael and Margaret, Annies, Hollymount. The ceremony was performed by Fr. Desmond Grogan, Partry. The chief bridesmaid was Sarah McGeough, assisted by Valerie Kilcoyne. Best man was Lydon Gibbons and the groomsman was Jason Gibbons. The pretty flower girl was Katie O’Brien and the page boy was Master Jack McGeough. Readings were given by Eugene and Michael McGeough, the Communion reflection was given by Mairead Gibbons and music and song was provided by Sinead McGabhann and Ronan de Burca. The reception was held in the Park Hotel, Kiltimagh. We wish the happy couple health and happiness in the future.

The Gathering
Tickets are selling fast for the Gaeltarra Knitwear Gathering on Friday, August 23, at Hotel Westport. Mass will be celebrated in Tourmakeady at 6 p.m. on the evening for all deceased members.

The death has taken place in Chicago, USA, of Martin Behan, husband of the late Sarah Thornton, Carheen, Tourmakeady.
Wedding
The wedding took place in St. Mary’s Church, Tourmakeady, of Miss Noreen McGeough, daughter of Martin and Betty, Gortnacullin, Srah, and Mr. Noel Gibbons, son of Michael and Margaret, Annies, Hollymount. The ceremony was performed by Fr. Desmond Grogan, Partry. The chief bridesmaid was Sarah McGeough, assisted by Valerie Kilcoyne. Best man was Lydon Gibbons and the groomsman was Jason Gibbons. The pretty flower girl was Katie O’Brien and the page boy was Master Jack McGeough. Readings were given by Eugene and Michael McGeough, the Communion reflection was given by Mairead Gibbons and music and song was provided by Sinead McGabhann and Ronan de Burca. The reception was held in the Park Hotel, Kiltimagh. We wish the happy couple health and happiness in the future.

Partry Residents’ Association is erecting a stone in Tooreen, Partry, on the site where Monsignor James Horan was born. Mass will be in the church at 10 a.m. on June 9, followed by the blessing of his birthplace marked by an engraved stone. Refreshments will be served afterwards. It is hoped there will be a large turnout.

Bereavement
It is with deep regret that we record the death in Chicago, USA, on Saturday, May 18, of Michael Lally, in his 56th year, following an illness. Michael was the son of Julia Lally and the late Michael Lally (Reilly), Derryveeney, Tourmakeady. He loved to visit home regularly with his wife Mary Jo and family. He was a great man in Chicago to numerous emigrants who left Tourmakeady to settle in the windy city. Michael was laid to rest on Wednesday following. Mass in Chicago. He is survived by his wife Mary Jo, daughter Annie, sons Michael and Patrick, mother Julia Lally, Derryveeney, Tourmakeady, mother-in-law Katie Heneghan, USA, brothers Sean, Mattie, Tommy Joe and Eamonn, all Chicago, sisters Mary Carroll and Ellen Rice, both Chicago, Noreen Hughes, Tourmakeady, Kathleen Feerick and Siobhan Jennings, both Ballinrobe. Also sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a large circle of cousins. Michael was nephew of Mary Gibbons, Waterfall Cottage, Tourmakeady.

Bereavement
It is with deep regret that we record the death in Chicago, USA, on Saturday, May 18, of Michael Lally, in his 56th year, following an illness. Michael was the son of Julia Lally and the late Michael Lally (Reilly), Derryveeney, Tourmakeady. He loved to visit home regularly with his wife Mary Jo and family. He was a great man in Chicago to numerous emigrants who left Tourmakeady to settle in the windy city. Michael was laid to rest on Wednesday following. Mass in Chicago. He is survived by his wife Mary Jo, daughter Annie, sons Michael and Patrick, mother Julia Lally, Derryveeney, Tourmakeady, mother-in-law Katie Heneghan, USA, brothers Sean, Mattie, Tommy Joe and Eamonn, all Chicago, sisters Mary Carroll and Ellen Rice, both Chicago, Noreen Hughes, Tourmakeady, Kathleen Feerick and Siobhan Jennings, both Ballinrobe. Also sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a large circle of cousins. Michael was nephew of Mary Gibbons, Waterfall Cottage, Tourmakeady.
